Professor of Behavioural Economics and Public Policy, Blavatnik School of Goverment. Research interests are in the area of development economics, with a specific focus on issues related to the behavioural economics of poverty and social exclusion, gender issues and public good provision. Research Affiliate, Ideas42, a think tank for behavioural economics, Harvard University; Fellow, Centre for Comparative Advantage in the Global Economy (CAGE), University of Warwick. Recent work has been published in economics journals, has featured in leading newspapers, including the New York Times and the Guardian, and appeared on the BBC.
