Alison Redford

1988, graduate, University of Saskatchewan College of Law. Actively involved in both provincial and national politics since the 1980s. Has done extensive work on constitutional and legal reforms in Africa and with the United Nations. 2008, elected MLA for the constituency of Calgary-Elbow; 2008, named Minister of Justice and Attorney-General; October 2011, elected Leader of the Alberta Progressive Conservative Party and sworn-in as Alberta's 14th Premier; April 2012, endorsed in general provincial election with a strong majority government and a mandate for change. Seeks to improve quality of life for all Albertans, while working to build a province that is prosperous, fair and inclusive.
