Alejandro was Mexican politician who served as the Secretary of the Interior in the cabinet of Felipe Calderón. Before his post as the Secretary of the Interior, Poiré served as spokesman of Mexico's national security. He is often regarded as the face and voice of Mexico's strategy against drug trafficking and organized crime. He has published several studies on democratization, public opinion and political parties. Formerly also: Dean of the School of Government and Public Transformation, Tecnológico de Monterrey, Visiting Professor, Harvard University, Stanford University Hoover Institution. He now serves as a top administrator at one of the best universities in Latin America, especially well recognized for it's close alliances with business across the continent. He works closely with the university president on overall university strategy.
