Dr Abdulkareem Sultan Al Olama is currently the CEO of The Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives (MBRGI), established in 2015. MBRGI encompasses over 30 humanitarian and developmental initiatives and entities to support and empower vulnerable communities globally. It is the largest regional foundation leading wide-reaching programmes.

Before leading MBRGI, Dr Al Olama served as the CEO of Al Jalila Foundation, catalyzing Dubai's prominence in medical education and research. Notable achievements include launching Al Jalila Children’s Specialty Hospital, Mohammed Bin Rashid Medical Research Institute and raising over AED 2.4 billion for life-changing programs.

A Harvard Medical School and Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Program for Leadership Development alumnus, Dr Al Olama also serves in advisory capacities, having been on the advisory board of the University of Birmingham Dubai. His contributions extend to membership in healthcare research ethics committees and academic councils, showcasing a commitment to transformative impact in healthcare and research.
