An initiative of the Young Global Leaders of the World Economic Forum, Thirst is a mass global consumer awareness campaign focused on changing the way the Y Generation thinks about water. Starting in China in 2012, it has educated over 500,000 students, had 200,000 students participate in its innovation competitions, collaborated with over 400 schools, built hubs in 15 provinces across China, and reached more than 250 million people. Thirst combines on-campus and in-school educational workshops with social, online and traditional media.
