Rady Children’s Institute for Genomic Medicine was founded as a non-profit organization in 2014 through a transformational pledge of $120 million from Ernest and Evelyn Rady.
The Institute is embedded within Rady Children’s Hospital-San Diego, the 6th largest children’s hospital in the U.S., which contributed $40 million to help establish the Institute.
Primary funding for our work —including the genomic sequencing of some patients—comes from philanthropy and grants.
