Pró-Cerrado Foundation

Pró-Cerrado Foundation is a Brazilian NGO, founded in 1994, that focuses on promoting youth development through environmental education and income-generating initiatives. It places disadvantaged youngsters aged 14 to 21 in paid apprenticeship positions in private firms and government offices. It also teaches good environmental practices seeking to break the vicious cycle that exists in the relationship between poverty and environmental degradation. Since 1994, the organization has placed over 30,000 youngsters in the labour market.
