Operation ASHA - Fighting Tuberculosis Worldwide

Operation ASHA serves 15 million disadvantaged people in India and Cambodia. It delivers high-quality healthcare services at the last mile, with a focus on tuberculosis (TB), the biggest health crisis in the world with 10.9 million people falling ill annually and 1.8 million dying. Operation ASHA serves the poorest of the poor in slums, villages and tribal areas. Its low-cost, scalable, replicable, community empowerment model educates and employs local people as health workers, who use technology to improve detection and outcomes, and ensure adherence to the difficult 6-9 month-long treatment.
