Founded in 1958, the National Scientific and Technical Research Council (CONICET) is Argentina’s main government agency promoting the development of science and technology. It supports a national network of researchers, fellows, technicians and professionals across more than 300 institutes and centres throughout the country. CONICET fosters fundamental and applied research in natural and social sciences, engineering, health and agricultural innovation. By coordinating scientific infrastructure and collaboration with universities and industry, it strengthens Argentina’s research capacity and contributes to knowledge generation, innovation and sustainable development across diverse regions and disciplines.
