It produces petrochemicals, carbon products, agrochemicals, pharmaceuticals, information and electronics-related products, plastic-based products, speciality chemicals, and synthetic or chemical fibres. It has manufacturing facilities worldwide. On 1 July 2022, its name changed to Mitsubishi Chemical Group Corporation.
