Irpin is in Kyiv district, located 15 km northwest of Kyiv. Actually, Irpin is in the center of the region, which includes the urban villages of Vorzel, Gostomel and Kotsyubinske. All settlements share common levels of socio-economic development. The area of this region is 11,578.96 hectares. The population is over 80,000 people.

Executive Committee of City Council consist of 28 departments, 87 civil-servants, has under control: 1200 doctors, 1500 teachers, 700 communal housing workers, 30 social workers.
There are 36 educational institutions in Irpin 31 public and 5 private ones. Among there are preschool, after-school and primary/secondary schools. These schools cater for 7,779 children of school age and 2,480 preschool children.
There are institutions of primary and secondary health care in the region. There are 8 hospitals,with 254 doctors and 393 nurses. Primary health care of Irpin city center includes outpatient general practitioners and family medicine for Irpin and surrounding villages Gostomel, Vorzel, Kotsyubinske. Since primary and secondary health care is a priority, effort is aimed at expanding the network of clinics in the region.
Irpin has 15 cultural institutions among whichthere are 2 houses of culture, cultural and artistic center «Suzirja» that related to The National University of State Tax Service of Ukraine, the center of culture «Uvarivas House» in Vorzel, The Irpin City Museum and The Historic-Educative Museum of Kochur.
There are 12 sports clubs, 17 sports halls, and 58 sports facilities in Irpin.
