Fundacion Chile is a non-profit institution and privately owned corporation, created in 1976 by the Chilean government and ITT of the US. It performs a strategic role in the generation of innovative products and processes for the national economy's key sectors. Over nearly 30 years it has played an important part in the country's technological development, incorporating new technologies into its production and services sectors including agrobusiness, marine resources, forests and the forestry industry, human capital, education, the environment and chemical metrology, information and communication technologies.
