Freeport-McMoRan is an international mining company, with headquarters in Phoenix, Arizona. It operates large, long-lived, geographically diverse assets of copper, gold and molybdenum. It is the world's largest producer of molybdenum and its assets include the Grasberg mining complex, significant mining operations in the Americas, and the Tenke Fungurume development project in the Democratic Republic of Congo. It has a strong commitment to safety performance, environmental management and the local communities where it operates. It is a founding member of the International Council on Mining and Metals (ICMM) and is committed to implementation of the ICMM Sustainable Development Framework.
