Eurojust is the European Union's Judicial Cooperation Unit, established by Council Decision in 2002, to support and strengthen coordination and cooperation between national authorities in the fight against serious cross-border crime affecting the European Union. It is composed of 28 national members, one from each Member State, who form the College of Eurojust, which is supported by an administration of over 230 staff members. As the centre of legal and judicial expertise, it assists national authorities with their investigation and prosecution.
