BlueOak's vision is to sustainably recover the billions of dollars' worth of valuable metals such as gold, silver and copper that are present in the 50 million tonnes of electronic waste (e-waste) generated every year. Its first commercial mini-refinery is located in Arkansas, USA. Its business model is based on the pioneering mini-mills that produced steel from automotive steel scrap in the early 20th century. BlueOak's unique, low-cost mini-refineries will recover high-value metals from electronic scrap.
