The Africa Civil Society Platform on Principled Partnership works in 23 countries across Africa to promote state-society relations through principled partnership and respectful dialogue among civil society organizations and with governments and other actors. Its primary focus is on emerging democracies and conflict-affected states. It facilitates state-society and private sector relations by: ensuring civil society engagement in development, growth and governance agendas; strengthening the enabling environment of civil society through dialogue with governments; encouraging positive legislation that favours community engagement; and supporting civil society accountability.
