Global Shaper, Manchester Hub

As a Senior Sustainability and Building Physics Engineer at Cundall, Theo is dedicated to ensuring that climate change targets are met through innovative and sustainable design practices. Focusing on minimizing operational energy use and maximizing energy efficiency, Theo applies sustainable principles to building design and utilizes advanced modeling methods to make informed early design decisions. He prioritizes optimal passive design, consistently challenging conventional design practices and exploring alternative solutions to implement energy savings at every stage of construction. His commitment to sustainability drives him to push the boundaries of traditional engineering, ensuring that each project contributes positively to our global climate goals.

Theo is also interested in AI and climate technology.

In his role as an Alumni Global Shaper at the World Economic Forum, Theo is involved in and supports the Manchester Hub's Climate Conversations project. This initiative conducts surveys among the citizens of Greater Manchester to establish a foundational understanding of climate change awareness and identify the local actions they wish to see implemented. The project aspires to develop initiatives that are informed and driven by community feedback. Additionally, Theo is a Climate Reality Leader, trained by Al Gore, and a devoted mentor committed to empowering emerging innovators to advocate for sustainable practices and challenge fossil fuel investments to achieve net-zero carbon emissions by 2040.

Outside of work, Theo enjoys running, practices Brazilian jiu-jitsu, and loves traveling.
