Giovanni Anelli

Head of Knowledge Transfer, European Organisation for Nuclear Research (CERN)

Giovanni is currently the Head of the Knowledge Transfer group at the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN).

He has extensive experience both in research institutes and industry, and is passionate about creating new links between these complementary actors of innovation. Giovanni worked for 10 years in CERN’s Microelectronics Group, developing new integrated circuits for applications in high energy physics and particle physics. His research work led to new technologies now used on the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) at CERN. Giovanni first came to CERN for his graduate studies in Electronics Engineering. In addition to a Ph.D. in electronics engineering, he holds an EMBA from HEC.
