Bhuvan Bhatnagar, an Indian national, joined the Bank in May 1999, as a Social Development Specialist in the East Asia and Pacific Region. He has since held various positions in Regions and Networks, in country offices and in Washington DC., with his most recent assignment as Lead Water and Sanitation Specialist in the World Bank Group's Water Global Practice for the last two years. In this capacity, he has led the Water Practice’s work on WASH Poverty Diagnostics, Citizen Engagement and Gender.
