Andrea Athanas is a Program Design Manager – Agriculture and Energy with the African Wildlife Foundation. Prior to joining AWF Andrea was the Senior Program Officer with the Business and Biodiversity Program of IUCN (International Union for Conservation of Nature) in Switzerland. With an economics background, Andrea started with IUCN on integrating economic thinking and tools into the conservation agenda. She launched a global program of work on biodiversity and impact assessment with the Convention on Biological Diversity and the International Association for Impact Assessment, of which she has also been a Board Member.
