London Is Turning The Old Camden Highline Into An Urban Oasis

The Camden Highline will turn a 1.2km stretch of its disused track into a linear urban oasis for 20,000 people. It will start in the busy Camden Market in the city’s north and stretch to the transport hub of King’s Cross. Home to Google, The Guardian and Central Saint Martins art school, planners say the Camden Highline project will reduce pollution, keep the heat at safe levels in summer and provide crucial habitat for urban wildlife. The first section will cost €16 million to build and will open in 2025. Watch the video to learn more about the Camden Highline project.
