This 3D World Population Density Map Shows The Spread of 8 Billion People

This world population density map splits the world into squares. 4km2 on the larger map and 1km2 on the smaller ones. The height of each spike represents how many people live there. China’s population is highly concentrated in its megacities, and India’s population is as big, but its people are squeezed into a land mass only one-third the size. And almost half of the world’s population lives in only 5 countries - China, India, the US, Indonesia, and the Philippines. By 2050, the world's population could reach 9.8 billion. Check out this world population density map.
