New Malaria Vaccine Developed At Oxford

Oxford scientists have developed a ‘world-changing’ malaria vaccine. It can be made for a few dollars a dose, say experts, and offers up to 80% protection against malaria after 4 doses. The Oxford team say their R21 malaria vaccine is cheap, effective and easy to make. They’ve already struck a deal with the Serum Institute of India to manufacture 200 million doses a year, and it could be ready by 2023. Watch to learn more about this malaria vaccine.
