Peshawar Circles

Peshawar circles is an initiative of Global Shapers Peshawar in collaboration with Enlight Lab, where a group of people from the Peshawar community meet monthly to have focused discussions on critical issues, books and ideas that need exploration, under the guidance of an impartial facilitator.

The goal of the project is provide a safe space for young people to explore ideas, give them a sense of belonging to a larger group as well as provide them with the opportunity for social transformation. Peshawar Circle also aims at improving flexibility towards diversity and difference of opinion to promote peace.

We arrange monthly circles and have so far arranged 5 study circles on books that include Sapiens: A Brief History of Humankind, Animal Farm, The Anarchy, The Forty Rules of Love & Why Nations Fail. Our upcoming book circle will be about " 7 Habits of Highly Effective People" in the month of june,2021. 

We plan to continue this project in long-term as the project is receiving an overwhelming response from community members. Not only young people but elders are also showing great interest in the study circles. In the first 5 months of this project, we have registered more than 500 members and each of our study circles has 30-40 participants on average.
