PACI - The Future of Trust and Integrity

Corruption is at the center of many of the world’s economic and political challenges, impeding economic growth, weakening trust between stakeholders contributing to social inequality and obstructing innovation.

As the leading private sector-driven anti-corruption community, Partnering Against Corruption Initiative (PACI) is ideally positioned to provide a platform for rebuilding trust and integrity between public and private stakeholders.

The project will identify and design practical solutions to promote trust and integrity through behavioral change, organizational innovation and technology adoption to address corruption in the context of the Fourth Industrial Revolution. Phase I and II of the project will first delve into regional opportunities for the global economy in Latin America, followed by a deep-dive in South Africa. In particular the project will:

- Catalyze regional strategic dialogues on trust and integrity backed up case studies of how economies can tackle corruption while ensuring they maintain stability;

- Implement a technology based integrity platform;

- Incubate an action initiative on e-procurement to be teed up as a type 2 initiative.

Identifying such solutions will enable the development of a roadmap on trust building and recovery, with the project contributing to:

- Improved legislation and policies;

- Innovative tech-based solutions;

- Practical models for trust building in a business-to-business and business-to-government context; and

- Formation of informal regional anti-corruption action networks.
