The COVID-19 pandemic rapidly changed the global business landscape. The immediate implications of the pandemic are manifesting by the day. However, its economic, environmental, societal and technological consequences will be far-reaching, are likely to affect all industries and could have a lasting influence on business worldwide.
The World Economic Forum's Global Risks Initiative has produced a special COVID-19 Risks Outlook (released 19 May 2020), which analyses the pandemic's implications and effects beyond the immediate crisis response, and provides cross-cutting insights on the current risks landscape that would not otherwise be available. This report presents a series of guiding questions for decision-makers to ensure that the recovery efforts lead towards a more socially just and sustainable global economy.
We invite risk officers and risk professionals to discuss the findings of this special report and work together towards answering such questions.
