Yori works on the intersection of AI and cyber security at TNO, the Netherlands Institute for Applied Scientific Research, where he is Lead Counter AI. Before TNO, Yori co-founded several IT companies focused on cyber. He is a member of the program council of the Rathenau Instituut, the Dutch national institute for technology assessment.

Yori was elected as Futurist of the Year (2013), got recognized as one of the 101 best technologists of The Netherlands (2013) and one of the most influential people for the Dutch startup ecosystem (2018). Yori holds a BSc in Industrial Engineering from Twente University (2010). An MA in Geopolitics, Territory & Security from King's College London (2011). He attended GSP12 at Singularity University and is an Associate of King's College London (2012).
