Since 2005, current position. Recipient of awards: three honorary doctoral degrees; two US Presidential Distinguished Service Awards; number of US Department of State awards; named in 50 Most Promising American Leaders Under Age 40 (1994) and 100 Young Global Leaders, Time Magazine. Author: Economic Aid and American Policy Toward Egypt, 1955-1981 (1985).
