Victor do Prado currently works as Director of the Council and Trade Negotiations Committee at the WTO. He was previously the WTO Deputy Chief of Staff (2005-2012). He was also a Brazilian diplomat and trade negotiatior. Victor do Prado has a keen interest for international dispute settlement and served as a panellist in various WTO cases. Victor do Prado holds a Degree in Law from the University of São Paulo and a master in International Relations from the Brazilian Diplomatic Academy (Rio Branco prize, first of class). He is a member of the Faculty of the World Trade Institute of Bern University and has lectured in several universities in Europe and Latin America. His personal interests include classical music and litterature, skiing, hiking and sailing.
