Thomas Piketty

Thomas Piketty is Professor at the Paris School of Economics (PSE) and the École des hautes études en sciences sociales (EHESS), and co-director of the World Inequality Lab. His research focuses on the long-run evolution and drivers of income and wealth inequality, with particular emphasis on taxation, redistribution, education, wealth accumulation and the interaction between economic development and political institutions. He is the author of numerous books, including Capital in the Twenty-First Century, Capital and Ideology, A Brief History of Equality and Equality Is a Struggle, and continues to publish research on global inequality, human capital and distributional policy.
