Sony Kapoor is an influential macroeconomist, financial sector expert and development practitioner. As Director of Re-Define and the CEO of Court Jesters, Sony advises multilateral organisations, large investors, central banks, European and emerging governments on economic and financial policy. Until recently, he was Strategy Advisor to the Systemic Risk Centre and a Senior Visiting Fellow at the Development and Government Departments at the LSE, and a special advisor to the UN Environment Programme on green finance. An ex-investment banker, Sony has been an advisor to the European Commission and Parliament, the IMF, the OECD and a strategy advisor to the Norwegian government. He is a fellow of the RSA, a WEF YGL and alumnus of IIT Delhi and the LSE.
