Scott Harrison is Founder and Chief Executive Officer of charity: water, a non-profit organization dedicated to bringing clean, safe drinking water to people in developing nations. Through charity: water, Harrison has created public installations and innovative online fundraising platforms to spread international awareness of the issue. In seven years, with the help of more than 400,000 donors worldwide, the organization has raised over US$ 100 million and funded over 8,000 water projects in 20 countries. When completed, those projects will provide over 3 million people with clean, safe drinking water. Prior to founding charity: water, Harrison spent almost 10 years as a nightclub promoter in New York City before leaving to volunteer on a hospital ship off the coast of Liberia, West Africa, as a volunteer photojournalist. He was recently recognized in Fortune Magazine's 40 under 40 list and Impact 30 list, and listed number 10 in the Fast Company's 100 Most Creative People in Business Issue.
