Richard Houston

Richard is Chief Executive of Deloitte EMEA. He is also a member of Deloitte’s Global Executive. Deloitte EMEA was launched on 1 June 2026, and spans 80 countries, with over 130,000 people, 6,000 partners and €20 billion in revenues. Prior to his EMEA leadership role, Richard was CEO of both Deloitte UK and Deloitte North & South Europe for seven years. During his leadership, he delivered significant improvements in firm profitability, whilst transforming the business through the adoption of technology and enhanced collaboration. He was one of the core architects of the new Deloitte EMEA firm and worked with EMEA leaders to build the business case and ensure 6,000 Partners voted overwhelmingly in favour. Prior to taking on the role of CEO in the UK and NSE, Richard led their respective Consulting practices, delivering strong revenue growth and enhancing the sense of partnership across multiple geographies. Richard has over 30 years of experience in Consulting and Financial Services. He joined Deloitte in 2002 having previously worked at Arthur Andersen, HSBC and Royal Bank of Scotland.
