Named one of the Top 40 under 40 Political Leaders in America by Time magazine, Dr. Rachel Kleinfeld’s passion lies in releasing more people’s potential through greater opportunity, security, and empowerment. As the founding CEO of the Truman National Security Project, she spent a decade leading a movement of rising politicians, policy experts, and military leaders to promote U.S. policies that advance security and human dignity worldwide. From 2011-2014 she served on Hillary Clinton’s Foreign Affairs Policy Board, which advised the Secretary of State quarterly. Currently, as a Senior Associate at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, Rachel works to understand how social change happens and help change agents improve security and governance. She appears regularly in the media and is the author of multiple books and articles, including Advancing the Rule of Law Abroad: Next Generation Reform, which Foreign Affairs named one of the be st foreign policy books of 2012. Rachel was born in a log cabin on a dirt road in her beloved Fairbanks, Alaska.
