Formerly: at the Korean Embassy, Washington DC; Director, Policy Planning, Korean Government's Unification think tank; then journalist career with JoongAng Ilbo for 15 years; Diplomatic Correspondent, Washington DC and Tokyo; editorial staff writer, publisher, JoongAng Daily and CEO of the publishing company; Acting President, Seoul Cyber University; Vice-Chairman, Woonsan Group. In 2012 elected as Member of the Korean Parliament. In 2017 came back to academia as visiting professor of the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology(KAIST).
