Born in 1980 in Laputta, Irrawaddy Division, Myanmar Khin Zaw Latt graduated from University of Culture in 2002, majoring in painting. One of Myanmar’s most successful young artists, he has been the recipient of a string of prizes and awards, including the 2nd prize at Myanmar Youth Art Contest, first prize in the Myanmar Contemporary Art Awards in 2008 and the National Portrait Competition in 2010. He was a Finalist in the prestigious Sovereign Asian Art Awards in 2009. Since graduating from university, he has actively participated in exhibitions in Myanmar and has been invited to art events overseas. He has also lived and painted in India and Nepal and was artist in residence in Malaysia 2008. His works are in private collections in Myanmar & overseas.
