Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to Japan, United Arab Emirates Government

The United Arab Emirates Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Japan as of March 2016, His Excellency Khaled Omran Alameri was born in the city of Al Ain on October 1st 1976. The Ambassador’s deep ties to Japan started long before his diplomatic assignment. His Excellency earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Tokai University in 2002, after which he obtained a Master of Science in Engineering from Shonan Institute of Technology in Fujisawa. As such the Ambassador is fluent in Arabic, English and Japanese. Following the completion of a year of service at the UAE Navy force in 2005, Ambassador Alameri worked as the Programs Manager of the investment private corporation Emirates Advanced Investments (EAI). His Excellency broadened his managerial expertise further through his work as the Acting-CEO of Abu Dhabi Autonomous Systems Investments, and the Chief Technical Officer of an EAI subsidiary Progressive Technologies. Emirates Advanced Investments in the span of five years. Ambassador Al Ameri returned to the national forces as the Head of Research and Development, within the Capability Development department of the UAE Land Forces, before his appointment as the Minister Plenipotentiary at the UAE Embassy in Tokyo.
