Kadi Liis Saar

Ph.D. researcher

Kadi is a scientist at the University of Cambridge and a visiting research fellow at Harvard University. She is developing fast analytical tools to study proteins and their malfunction leading to Parkinson's and Alzheimer's diseases. Kadi is building networks between Estonian scientists abroad - with the Estonian Academy of Sciences she organised the first conference bringing together Estonian academic talent from around the world. Kadi has been an invited participant at panels mapping the potential strategies of Estonia's higher education and science. She is passionate about building an evidence-based society and she has given numerous inspirational talks to middle and high school kids and introduced Estonia abroad through establishing a series of conferences. Having been a world ranked tennis player as a junior, aside from her professional career Kadi has retained her position as one of the top players in Estonia, she recently achieved the 17th place at the World Student Games.
