Jan Jenisch serves as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Amrize, the partner of choice for North America’s professional builders. Jenisch is recognized for his track record of developing and executing winning strategies driving long-term profitable growth. His leadership is focused on creating superior value through smart capital allocation, efficient operational execution and empowered teams. He is passionate about customer success, fostering innovation and developing talent. Previously, Jenisch served as Chairman (2023–2025) and CEO (2017–2024) of Holcim, transforming the company into a global leader in innovative and sustainable building solutions. Under his leadership, Holcim executed over 130 M&A transactions and delivered total shareholder return of 105%, doubling the Swiss Performance Index TSR of +52%. From 1996 to 2017, he held several leadership roles at Sika AG, including CEO (2012–2017) and President Asia Pacific (2007–2011). He drove record performance in sales and profitability, secured Sika’s entry into the Swiss Market Index, and delivered TSR of 280% (CHF) versus 86% for the SPI. Mr. Jenisch studied in the United States and Switzerland, obtaining his MBA from the University of Fribourg in 1993. In 2021, he received a Dr. h.c. for his accomplishments as Chief Executive Officer of two SMI companies.
