Geert Van Poelvoorde is Executive Vice President and CEO of ArcelorMittal Europe.
He graduated from the University of Ghent in Belgium, with a degree in civil engineering and electronics.
He started his career in 1989 in Gent and held several senior and CEO positions in a number of plants and business units in Europe.
He was President of the European Steel Association (Eurofer) from 2015 until 2022.
Geert Van Poelvoorde is a member of various Boards of Directors, and currently he is Vice-President of Eurofer.
