Dr. Ernest Earon is CTO and co-founder at PrecisionHawk. He has been working in the field of UAVs and intelligent, autonomous vehicle control for over 10 years with an emphasis on the design, development and control of unmanned aircraft. Dr. Earon has spearheaded product development efforts at PrecisionHawk since 2008 when the company launched its first UAV for viticulture applications. Dr. Earon’s expertise in artificial intelligence, engineering and robotics serves as the primary driving force behind PrecisionHawk’s product innovation and global expansion of its aerial data services and lowaltitude safety infrastructure.In 2015, Ernest was named to the prestigious UpStart 100 list, which included names like Jeff Bezos of Amazon and Travis Kalanick of Uber, for his innovations in the drone space. In his spare time he continues to publish articles on robotics and the future of the drone industry as well as speak at international events like TEDx and DronesDataX.Prev iously, Dr. Earon served as technical leader in unmanned systems projects at the University of Toronto, the Canadian Space Agency and Quanser, where he led the development of a novel aircraft design for Defense R & D Canada. Dr. Earon earned his doctorate from the University of Toronto Institute for Aerospace Studies in 2004.
