Daniel Asare-Kyei

Chief Executive Officer, Esoko

Daniel Asare-Kyei, PhD. is the CEO of Esoko and SikaFields Technologies. He is an agricultural economist, technologist, geo-information scientist, and entrepreneur with over 20+ years of experience in the African digital technology space. His passion is to bridge the gap between the realities of people living in last mile communities and emerging technological innovations. Dan has led Esoko, one of Africa's largest agritech providers to navigate through a maze of digital products and developed several innovations for the African digital ecosystem. As a serial entrepreneur, he founded two other agribusinesses, Adinkra Frontiers Limited and Eucharia Farms. Dan is currently leading Esoko and working with partners to develop one of Africa’s foremost carbon credit programs designed for smallholder farmers. The project, dubbed “SikaFields” plans to evolve into a Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR) enterprise to integrate thousands of Africa’s smallholder farmers into the global Carbon Credit Business.
Daniel is a fellow of the United Nations University and the Unreasonable Group, a recipient of 2020 Schwab Foundation for Social Entrepreneurship of the Year Award . He has a doctorate degree in Agricultural Economics from the University of Bonn, Germany, a double master’s degree in Geo-information Science from the University of Twente, The Netherlands, and a first-class bachelors in Agricultural Economics from Ghana’s KNUST.
