Celso Moretti has a BSc. degree in agronomy, a MBA in Production Engineering, a MSc. and a PhD. degree in plant science. Researcher with the Brazilian Agricultural Research Corporation (Embrapa) for 24 years, Dr. Moretti has dedicated the last ten years to public administration. He was Head of the National Vegetable Crops Research Center (Embrapa, Brasília, DF) between 2008 and 2013, and Head of the Research and Development Department of Embrapa between 2013 and 2017. He is alumni (2016) of the Harvard School of Government, Harvard University, Cambridge, USA. Dr. Moretti has been a courtesy associate professor with the University of Florida (USA) since 2006. He is author or co-author of book chapters, editor of technical books and author and co-author of scientific papers in national and international journals. He has significant international experience having presented scientific papers, acted as a consultant and delivered lectures, seminars and conferences in more than 30 countries. He is currently the Executive Director for Research and Development with Embrapa.
