Amr AlMadani is CEO of the Royal Commission for AlUla (RCU). Since taking on the leadership role in 2017, he has implemented a rapidly evolving period of dynamic development that defines AlUla’s regeneration into a unique global destination for culture, nature, and heritage.

A results-driven executive with a proven track record of successfully delivering multi-faceted projects, AlMadani excels in applying the key principals of change management through the introduction of internal and external structures and processes to effectively support both organisations and individuals in achieving large-scale development goals and growth.

AlMadani’s leadership philosophy centres on empowering high-performing teams and partners by encouraging an environment where independent and innovative thinking is encouraged to thrive, while maintaining focus on a clearly defined roadmap for success.

As the founding CEO of the General Entertainment Authority, AlMadani has led the development of museums and science centres, as well as complex entertainment and tourism agendas across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

A cofounder of TalentS, a KSA-based creative learning start-up operating in the fields of science, technology, engineering and innovation, AlMadani is passionate about upskilling individuals and communities to create new employment opportunities.

AlMadani also serves as President of the Saudi Arabian Hot Air Ballooning Federation (SAHAB), is a board member at Boutique Group, a hospitality company owned by Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF), a member of the Tomouh Network and an Eisenhower Fellow.

Originally trained as an engineer, AlMadani is a graduate of the Harvard Business School Programme for Leadership Development. He then went on to complete the Advanced Management Development Programme, organised through the Harvard University Graduate School of Design.
