Postdoctoral Researcher, Zoological Society of London

I am an early career researcher, using remote sensing to focus on issues of climate change mitigation, food security, the environmental impacts of commodity production, the governance of sustainable consumption and, more recently, vulnerability assessment of human-environment coupled systems. My research has taken me to Ethopia, India, Indonesia, Malaysia and Haiti. I am well-versed in spatial analysis, though mainly use satellites to assess rates of deforestation, stored carbon in vegetation and degradation of steep slopes. At the same time, I feel it is extremely important to pair remote sensing analysis with on the ground social assessments in order to better understand the relevant human-environment dynamics.
