Stakeholders in climate and development are connected by their ambition to achieve the SDGs and ensure a green and just recovery from Covid. However, the sectors are working in inefficient, ineffective silos and lack a shared strategy for success.
In response to this, Sharing Strategies regularly brings together a collective of key high-level partners who have agency to deliver on climate ambition and the SDGs. As a trusted neutral brand, Sharing Strategies broadly, yet succinctly, shares cross-sector “intel with intent”. There are three priority work streams within this: Financing Global Public Goods; Co-delivering Local Public Goods; Building Local to Global Campaigns and Movements. Each brings together key actors to drive coordination, foster innovation, and present solutions for potential funders.
Sharing Strategies does this across three workstreams:
1. FINANCE GLOBAL PUBLIC GOODS: Raise trillions more in public & private finance to deliver a Marshall Plan for People and Planet.
2. CO-DELIVER LOCAL PUBLIC GOODS: Ensure these transformative funds empower local communities delivering co-benefits for people, planet and the SDGs.
3. CONNECT LOCAL TO GLOBAL CAMPAIGNS AND CIVIC MOVEMENTS: Mitigate increasingly populist politics and foster public support for long term climate and SDG-smart policies.
foster public support for long term climate and SDG-smart policies.
