Mint's technology focuses on the recovery of metals from waste, also known as urban mining. Exploiting this abundant source of metals such as copper and cobalt will be important as demand increases rapidly in the coming decades due to mass electrification. Mint's team has already commercialized a process for recovering metals from electronic waste and R&D continues on multiple other streams, including lithium-ion batteries and catalysts.
