Membrion

Membrion manufactures and sells the world's first ceramic membrane capable of desalinating water and leverages it to treat harsh industrial wastewater that can then be reused on-site. Most frequently, clients truck their toxic wastewater off-site to a third party that then adds either energy (boiling) or chemicals (precipitation and sludge processing) to meet discharge requirements. In contrast, Membrion's ceramic desalination technology allows for simple, compact and cost-effective treatment of the water on-site. Furthermore, it helps these industrial facilities to be far more sustainable in that they can recycle their water and do so without trucking, thermal processing or chemicals.
