With an annual grant budget of approximately $160 million, most of the McArthur Foundation's grant making is carried out through its two main programmes: global security and sustainability and human and community development. In the global arena, its areas of focus include new concepts of security, the impact of economic globalization, and new approaches to addressing issues of global concern, including collaboration between business and civil society.
