The goal of the Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation (LDF) is to radically increase environmental philanthropy and public engagement in four focus areas - biodiversity, oceans, wildlands and climate change. Since its inception, LDF has awarded more than $30 million in direct grants to over 70 innovative projects across 40 countries and all five oceans working to scale solutions to defend vulnerable wildlife species, restore balance to threatened ecosystems, empower local communities and protect the planet's fragile climate.
